Been trying to clean up my whole digital nomad setup lately, and honestly… connectivity is still the most annoying part.
I moved from country to country thinking eSIM would solve everything. And yeah, it does make things easier. No more hunting for SIM cards every time you land. But I wouldn’t say every eSIM works the same, especially if you’re staying longer or moving around a lot.
In my case, I need something stable enough for work. Video calls, hotspot, maps running all day… the usual. I tried a couple of random eSIMs at first, and it was hit or miss. Some days were fine, other days I’d get slow speeds or random drops. Not ideal when you’re mid-call.
Eventually I switched over to SimCorner after seeing a few decent user reviews online. People were saying it’s more reliable across multiple countries, which is exactly what I needed.
So far… it’s been pretty solid. Setup was quick, connection’s been consistent, and I haven’t had those annoying “why is my data dead” moments anymore. Not perfect of course, but way more stable than what I was using before.
Still figuring out if eSIM alone is enough long-term, or if having a local backup SIM is smarter for certain countries.
