I used to be the type who would land in a new country and immediately hunt for a local SIM card at the airport.

You know the routine; comparing prices while half-awake from a long flight, trying to understand different data packages, swapping out SIM cards and hoping I don’t lose the tiny tray. 

On my last trip, I decided to try eSIM instead. I used one called SimCorner, I set it up before flying and turned it on right after landing. Within minutes, I had data. No queue, no swapping cards, no stress.

Honestly, the convenience surprised me.

And I also liked that:

• I didn’t have to remove my main SIM
• I could still receive messages on my usual number
• It felt easier when moving between countries

With that said, I’m still figuring out if it’s truly better in every situation.

For budget trips, I’m not 100% sure if it’s always the cheapest option compared to local SIMs.

For longer stays or remote work, I wonder if it’s reliable enough as a primary connection.

For families, I imagine managing multiple eSIMs could either be super convenient… or slightly chaotic.
